Rachel Crawford
Founder and Executive Director
Rachel has been running a literary hub in Rochester, New York for three years and has been in the literary arts nonprofit sector for over 10. Her work in this field has primarily involved collaborating with other organizations and creating community programming (support for charitable causes, hosting workshop and author readings, artist exhibitions, community building, skill shares, and much more).
Spencer Woodyard
President
Spencer is a writer who works closely with Free The People ROC. As the Grants Manager at Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity, he uses his skills to bring vital resources to marginalized and disenfranchised communities.
Sean Dobbin
Treasurer
A former journalist, Sean has a passion for literary arts and their role in societal change. Locally, he is focused on decarceral work, and spearheaded a campaign to provide no-strings-attached stipends to returning citizens of the Rochester Education Justice Initiative.
Theresa Church
Secretary
Theresa is a nonprofit professional dedicated to advancing social and environmental change through community engagement and storytelling. As Communications & Events Manager at the Climate Solutions Accelerator, she supports climate action through strategic programming and outreach.
Erin Francisco
Board Member
Erin is the Assistant Director of DEI Projects and Initiatives with SUNY Oneonta. Her scholarly work as a PhD candidate at the University of Rochester centered questions of identity and belonging, community building, and the intersectionality of social and environmental justice movements.
Amanda Flannery
Board Member
Amanda is a grassroots political organizer with over a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising. She is passionate about the transformative power of storytelling to drive social change.
